Some teachers there were nice but some teachers didn't care about the students. For example, I had a sixth-grade teacher that didn't care that the class was separated into groups & that I was excluded. There is pure and clear favoritism that makes the students feel left out. The psychologist team doesn't do anything to help the students. All they do is hurt students and they don't help them with their problems. The assistant principles office isn't student friendly. The music teacher treats kids unfairly and doesn't care about the least favorites. My experience there was pure hell. And also the principal there didn't let me into the GTE math class when I was in sixth grade (which I successfully passed it and it wasn't difficult.). Thanks for the principal in Aptakisic I passed into the GTE math course

We just moved this summer to US as a part of my rotation. One of the key decision was right school for our son. MMS is the right school with great teachers and admin support staff. Since this was our first time in US; with Great School reviews we finalized on MMS and We could not have got the better school. Everyone were quite helpful to get my son settled and help. District 102 has right technology set up and keep up with current trend in education. MMS teachers and Principal are quite responsive and proactive. We never felt that we are far away from our home.

This is relatively new building, great kids, pleasant teachers. Great band/orchestra. For additional fee, there are 2 options for after-school care: 1 hour activity like dodgeball/basketball/art with bus option or Club Meridian until 6pm and pick-up from school only option. However, in several subjects, kids constantly tested and rotated, so neither child or parent knows the true picture of what grade A/B means. Simply said, child will most likely be put into the level at which they can achieve a good grade without much of a challenge. High level of ISATs in the school and district are direct result of parental spending on outside tutoring services. All nearby tutoring centers - are fully booked and many kids have private tutors as well. Many of the tutoring centers in the district, will tell you that many of the kids that didn't get outside help for 2 years in Meridian - will not pass 5th grade STEM test. National Assessment Test results provided in 2011 report card clearly shows that population most likely not utilizing private tutoring - those eligible for free/reduced lunch - are not achieving as well.
