Horrible since day 1. If I could move right now I would. I make sure to deter people I know from buying or renting in this area and definitely warn them about this school. If your child isn’t considered “normal” or has some sort of disability, forget it. Not speaking solely from my experience but others I know talk about how much worse this school has become. It’s considered the great value version of the flossmoor school district. I don’t know why they beef it up in the media to be this wonderful school when it isn’t. The homeroom teachers are the only ones who seem to care.

Our family has had an excellent experience with Serena Hills. Our children thrive in the learning environment, their teachers work in the best interest of the students, the leadership proactively implements new methods and technology. When you walk around the school the students seem happy and engaged and the walls are covered with the evidence of their hard work!

My experience as a parent of Serena Hills has been great! Everyone is there for the KIDS! The office staff goes above and beyond to help families. All the teachers my children have had have all been great. I am happy that my kids are Serena Hills Stars! Keep up the great work Serena Hills!!!

This is my child's second year at Serena and her first experience in public school. I waited to give my opinion of our experience until I saw a consistent pattern of great leadership and genuine concern from the new principal and her teachers. The new principal, Ms. D, has a vision of excellence for the school and takes a hands on approach to making it a reality. She encourages parent involvement and has an open door policy. The perception is that private schools are superior to public. However, my experience is that with the right team of principal, teachers and parents we can make the difference. My child has attended almost every private school in the south suburbs as I was looking for that perfect school that would help my child excell academically and provide a safe and nurturing environment. I always discounted the possibility that the public school down the street would meet my expectation. I happy to say that Serena Hills, under the leadership of Ms. D, is on the rise and my child is doing well and I believe will only thrive in this environment. Ms. D told me during my first tour of the school that she believed that Serena Hills could be a Blue Ribbon school. Under her leadership and the great quality of teachers that I have seen, Serena Hills is the best school that my child has attended. I look forward to doing my part as a parent do help Serena become that Blue Ribbon school.
