My school has a very community enhanced environment. NOT only do we have parent mentors, parent crossing guard's but parent volunteers on all grade levels. We open EACH year with a Brighton Park Neighborhood Council party also know as "Safe Streets" to welcome new students and families to our community and our school. We also focus on our parents needs to succeed as an individual by providing a well expanded various of programs. We are a community and a school that CARES! We take great pride to know each day is a POSITIVE, SAFE and PRODUCTIVE day of our children and us as parents.

it is a great school where children get a great education.Teachers and other staff members take time from their personal lives to help students out in their own lives. Children can make friends easily and join many after school activities based on their hobbies. I strongly recommend Burroughs Elementary as a school for your children.

They lack a lot of tact, and need to learn how to communicate with the parents. They do not challenge the students even when the child is clearly advanced. The teachers are slow in responding to any question in regards to the curriculum. Have not had a good relationship with them due to their lack of communication and if it wasn't because of the convenience of the location, my children would not attend this school.
