Curie Metropolitan High School

The classes are great and so are the teacher, but some are boring. I always have fun in my culinary class.

Academically wise, Curie is an excellent school. The teachers are always there to give help when a student needs it and there are plenty of courses students can choose from to prepare them for college. But the downside of this school are the students. More than half of them don't take advantage of the opportunities this school offers us, and instead they slack in their classes and fool around by cutting or doing none of the work. As a current student, I'm disappointed of what has become of my school. Times have changed. Curie is not the same school it was 20 years ago. Our test scores are terrible and we're on probation. All I can recommend to future incoming students is to avoid the wrong crowd and just do the work! I've seen SO many students who did the very opposite and now they've either dropped out, gotten kicked out, or they're just not on track to graduate on time. But this school has so much to offer! As long as you follow your aspirations and remember to work hard, you should do great in this school.

The best school in the world is the one that you graduate from! I am a 1981 Graduate from Curie High and I have attended every reuninon since graduation. My academic, social, and cultural experience prepared me very well for all of my human endeavors which were many with many more ahead of me to accomplish. I owe my success to all my teachers and classmates! I learned early that stubling blocks could be used as stepping stones and building blocks to build monuments of success! Curie High stretched my imagination, creativity and developed my potential to lead, manage and make significant contributions to community, state , country and the world. Curie Metropolitan High School is one of the best high schools in Chicago with great graduation percenatge rate, academic programs, and great clubs/activites to join. Curie High School's mission is to prepare all students for college and wanted them to succeed with scholarships to pay their studies. Curie High school has approximately nearly 3700 students and they all got accepted based on their grades and test scores. Of course, there should not be any negative comments about my school because it is a safe learning enviornment and wanted students to succeed and motivate and accomplish their goals however. Curie is also one of the city championships on football that win the varsity and play on the soldier field. I love Curie High School and it is one of the best high schools than other High schools in Chicago with great accomplishments. GO CONDORS!!
