Grove Jr High School

Two different daughters six year apart, with one just graduating during COVID ... and both had a stellar experience with staff and programs that enriched and educated them for high school preparedness. Where the overall ranking comes from - I don't know - but any school will be what you and your child make of it, and my kids both had positive, enriching, and enthusiastic experiences, as did I when attending Goal Setting or Portfolio Sharing conferences or one of the other many opportunities the school provided for interacting with teachers and leadership. Open dialogue and supportive nature is cornerstone to the Grove experience. Feel personally this school should be rated just as high as EGHS, which is right down the road and all these students funnel into.

Its good because they care about you

I'm currently a 7th grader at this school and to be honest this school has its advantages but the teacher... Ech the curriculum for algebra is so slow, there are so many different algorithms that can be so much more efficient. Also I think this school goes way to overboard on "school spirit" the teachers encourage it to the point where its annoying and no one does it. I'm glad we get good technology and resources but this school needs some SERIOUS work.
