This school has so many opportunities for those who get involved. There are many clubs and great sports teams. The academics are top notch compared to other high schools. Highest rated in the state.

I'm currently a junior at LWE, and I have to say that I wouldn't trade my experience at East for anything. No matter what type of kid you are, the school provides you every opportunity to succeed and pursue your interests through clubs, athletics, and electives. I've been a serious history buff for my entire life, and the social science teachers at LWE have been instrumental in helping me further my passion. I know my experience is certainly not a unique one, as many of my peers have formed excellent bonds with their teachers and counselors as well. Overall, I could go on for hours about how intelligent, compassionate, and well-trained East's staff is, and I couldn't ask for a better learning environment. I would encourage anyone unfamiliar with the Lincoln-Way district to look past our recent financial issues and realize that the schools themselves are excellent, though the board members may not be. Don't listen to the parents who relentlessly try to politicize their children's education; listen to the students who exude school pride.

In a financial mess and located by sewage station; the stench is unbearable on a windy day., water smells too. The administrators and office staff are laughably self-important, rude. Moving out of area was hands down the best move my family and I ever made.
