Kids cannot be safe in this school especially now when a student was stabbed by another student on school property. Where the school security team was? Hmm...

I currently attend this school as a sophomore and have to say that the teachers really do care about helping the students learn and progress in their academics, which can easily be seen by the availability that teachers have to see them before school, during lunch, and after school. There are plenty of great clubs and the coaches are great for the sports, at least the ones I have had. The culture is very diverse and connected. Although there are some people who are bad apples, the majority seem pretty chill. The AP classes are challenging, as they should be, and the teachers try to help the students the best they can. I don't really know what else to say, but overall it is a pretty great school, with the opportunities we have and current technologies.

The school is good, but could be a lot better. The administration does not know how to schedule quizzes/tests/exams to allow the students to do their best. Making kids take multiple quizzes/tests/exams on one day, when it could be spread out by simple scheduling guidelines such as which subject or course type can have quizzes/tests/exams on which days of the week. We all want the kids to do better, so the school can get into compliance with the No Child Left Behind Act.

Leyden is a good school but they need to work on some things. There are all types of teachers some are better than others. Even if teachers are considered to be role models I believe they still make mistakes. It is normal to make mistakes because is our nature of being humans. I believe that they should help there student more often and more then they already.
