Western Avenue Elementary School

It was an average school experience. There were many clicks in the school among the kids and parents. I would say among all three of my children that attended this school there were maybe 3 really great teacher experiences.

Great experience for my children in all grades

The Principal and teachers do a tremendous job of instilling a sense of community among the students. Small class sizes allow for individualized teaching.

To be on the honest side. We are very unhappy with this school. The PTO is not welcoming at all so a lot of parents who want to be apart of the school don't. Also, there is bullying unfortunately the nice kids finish last. This school has no clubs after school chess, Lego, science etc. They preach healthy snacks but look at there lunch menu. This school has zero fun for these kids. If you are a new parent with new ideas they will get shut down. It would be nice if the principal worked with ALL the parents and not just his chosen few. The school is old and dirty. I don't recommend this school. The principal needs to take into consideration change is good.
