We have had all ages of students attend Gavin Central and have been very impressed with the entire school system. So happy we moved here and our children get to grow up within this system!

Great school they helped my daughters excel. We moved here from Morton Grove. They were ignoring mu daughters needs and did nothing about providing her extra help with math. We have lived in Morton Grove, Kenilworth, Glencoe, North barrington heights, Lake Forrest and in Golf. Fox lake has been the most peaceful, cooperative, understanding, careing, honest of all the school districts. The other districts keep their ratings high by quickly labeling children as ESL, Disabled, Learning impaired and extra. Their wealthy and are afraid of lower property tax revenues from lower exam scores. By having almost 77% of childrens exams exmpted from impacting their schools ratings by placing a lifetime label on a child is determental. Chicago public schools only have 3% of children labeled yet 35% of all students are immigrants. Go wonder, Learn not to trust all ratings. Fox lake has only 1% of all children exempt from testing whereas some wealthier areas have almost 80%. Based on those results Fox Lake is hands down way better vand accurate.

I feel this way because of my son's second grade teacher, Mrs. Williams. She goes above and beyond to ensure every child has an opportunity to learn each topic in order to prepare them for the next grade. She goes the extra step to ensure the children are doing more than just the required amount, setting them up for success in the years to come. I don't know how she does it but she gives that special care that seems to be missing in so many teachers today. Thank you Mrs. Williams.

good morning, If your gonna send your child to Gavin, maybe you should think hard about doing so.. The teachers are truly not what you think. My child had medical problems threw all the middle school yrs.And was picked on by the teacher during each yr she was there. Every day my child would come home upset. and tell me she didn't want to go bk there.I called the principal and the teacher her self.. no change. I will be calling the board of education. At the end of the yr this teacher had the nerve to try and say sorry for being mean.. admitted to my child that she had been awful to her in the last 3 yrs while she was there at Gavin. Who does this to a child ... and these adults are teaching our children.. terrible..
