Every time you ask someone anything, they never have an answer and will get back to you, however they do not. My oldest was bullied so bad she didn’t want to go back and nothing was ever done. Now my other daughter is being bullied and again the school does nothing. I moved here for the great schools and so far my kids have been bullied day in and day out.

If you want a teacher that will always give your child an "A" no matter what then 5th grade teacher Brett Smith is the one you want. He gives A's for missing work, incomplete assignments as well as worksheets and tests that clearly have the wrong answers on them. Parents watch your child's graded tests and worksheets!!! You'll find that nothing is ever graded at all, or if it is graded, it is graded incorrectly! Spelling tests come home all the time with words spelled wrong that are marked as correct. You will never get a clear indication of how your child is really doing academically. This teacher either never pays attention or is just plain lazy and gives all good grades because he really doesn't want to take the time to grade things properly. It seems as if he always just gives an A for effort. His students will all be completely unprepared for middle school. He was rumored to be a favorite by students because he is "easy" and is now known by parents as being "lazy." Every Friday is also known to be a "free Friday" because students of his say they usually just play games all day. Then his students say how is is always late coming to class and that they have gotten in trouble by other teachers because they get rowdy and are left unattended all the time until he finally shows up. I've double checked tests by finding answer keys and grading keys online for math tests which were marked as A's on Skyward, but were really supposed to be D's. Report card grades always look awesome because it makes him look awesome as a teacher. I'm not quite sure how a teacher can get away with falsely recording grades all the time like this. The school principal/administration/staff really needs to take a closer look at this guy. He's messing with our children future's and is doing more harm than good.

This school is an amazing school! I am a 6th Grader and the staff is kind, funny, and just plain awesome. The lunches are amazing and everywhere you go you will see someone you know. So Overall, This school and the community it self is AMAZING! And also, the Band and Choir (in both of them) does really well.

The teachers are compassionate, kind, fun (as my daughter has told me), have a sense of humour and communicate with the parents quite well. Information on grades, homework and even lunch money credits are available online and are updated frequently. The staff is just great - whether you need to call into the office with a question or if you have to talk with a counsellor or the principal. They are friendly, informative and helpful in helping you make decisions for your child. I've had small issues here and there but they have always been addressed and resolved well. The school itself is clean and inviting. Families are always at events whether it is a sporting event (home or away), orientation, conferences or an assembly. Recently, the school started a program (Rachel's Challenge) to encourage the kids to be kind to one another. They held an after school assembly for the parents and children to attend and the gym was full of supportive students and their families. I was skeptical of the schools when I moved to this area and scrutinized every little thing at first. Johnsburg Junior High and District 12 have proved themselves to be very satisfactory.
