As a first time kindergarten parent I was a little reluctant to send my daughter for the full Day kindergarten since I wasn't sure if she'd be completely exhausted each day. I'm so happy I did! I was able to speak with the Principal, Melissa Payne and she helped to walk me through it. I can not speak enough on how happy I am with my daughter's experience at Schiesher. She loves her class, teachers, friends that's she's made and going to school. Lots of positives- reading celebration at school for all the kindergarteners (yes my daughter is now able to read in just a few weeks!), the kids dance every day, they go outside multiple times everyday (if the weather is nice), they incorporate play in their learning and continuously meet/exceed the common core standards, they have flexible seating for the kids to move around and listen to their bodies to help them learn the best way they can. I feel like my daughter's teacher (Mrs. Staley) and the staff genuinely care about their students and go above and beyond. They work with each student/parent to help foster a positive and encouraging learning environment. There is a lot of open communication between teachers and parents. I feel like you will get out of your education, what you put into it. No matter where you are at. Teachers/Staff at this school put a major emphasis on kindness and the child as a whole by also teaching kids about their strong emotions, learning to regulate them and process them in order to help them and not hinder them in their learning process. They focus on kids working together to build each other up. Thank You, Schiesher for making our experience, thus far, a positive one!

I am very impressed with the teachers, aides, and staff at Schiesher Elementary. The classroom environment is structured, yet flexible. The teachers are engaging and warm. They seem to accommodate all students well. It is an excellent school.

This school is amazing! They want the best for all their students, and it shows!!
