Lincoln Middle School has been a great place for both my daughter's who are both in Special Ed. Both had all the support they needed to achieve! Social situations in Middle School are always difficult, but with the proper programs put in place now, children are afforded the ability to problem solve, mediate disagreements among friends and talk about their problems. The principal and all the teachers and staff really care about all the students success!

A challenging school, especially for someone coming from cps. Some teachers are helpful, some don't care, and some are creepy. They mainly cared about their students passing, instead of understanding the material. Way too much homework for an average school night, mainly for sixth and eighth grade. Pretty big transition for kids coming from elementary school. Has a bad environment. Many rude kids who misbehave and make school not a good experience for others. Also, there is a SERIOUS problem with bullying! Popular kids make the other kids feel bad, constantly pick on them, spread rumors, and cause many kids to be depressed. Be careful who you befriend. A fairly good school for education, but not for socializing.

The following school had not given the equal amount of attention to students with disabilities and different ways of learning. The school is not about learning, it's about passing. I would not bringing your child here unless you are wanting your child to face unfair and unreasonable situations that children should not be faced with.

Hate to agree with a previous post but there are several teachers there who should do the students a favor and change careers. They seem to be there just counting down to retirement. Now not all of them are like that( Mr. Alms has to be mentioned for his enthusiasm and effectiveness with the students). As for activities, I would say average but nothing special. Coaches in some sports are exceptional. Coaches in other sports are well, let's just say the rec league VOLUNTEER coaches would out coach them. Too bad the district doesn't improve the building. For being Mount Prospect, this school is old and less than ideal. The lunchroom is an underground cave. The locker rooms are gross and the main gym is a joke. Schools in supposedly worse neighboring towns have way better buildings and technology. ( i.e. River Trails and Holmes). Overall, lower than expected for location but I guess it's better than most city schools.
