Thayer J Hill is an excellent school. My son loves it. The teachers are wonderful. They are challenging, but seem to really know how to reach the kids and make learning fun. The PTSA at our school is great too. There are so many extra curricular activities (sports and clubs) for my son to participate in. We love Hill!
I am a single mother of a current Hill Middle School Student. My daughter is a Type 1 diabetic. My daughter went from Kindergarden thru 6th grade in School District 204 and we moved out of the area only to return 1 year later. She was so happy to return to a new school where she did not know anyone and they did not make her feel like a stranger. I took a tour of the school with the Guidance Counselor. Everyone I have encountered thus far has been wonderful. Thank You Hill for your Excellance to Education.
I am divorced and my son came to live with me a year ago in Naperville. He was being abused by his mother and finally had enough and was ready to "start over" by living with me in Naperville. He was a little worried at first, going to a new school for 7th grade where he didn't know anybody. I am GLAD that he went to HILL MIDDLE SCHOOL!!! He was able to discuss the abuse issues with his mother with the school counselor. The other kids were nice to him and he made friends quickly. The teachers were OUTSTANDING and really cared about each and every student and knew their learning capabilities and how best to teach them. The Principal has probably the hardest job, but I SWEAR he knows EVERY SINGLE STUDENT'S name!! He is very structured and beleives in discipline, yet is also very friendly and outgoing. I always see him at the school sporting events and is always welcoming to the parents with a smile and a handshake. My son has THRIVED in this school. He has more confidence, better grades and lots of friends. He is currently on Naperville Football and Hill Football and he has an A- average in all of his classes!!! Hill is the place where your kids can get the BEST education!!
