Percy Julian Middle School

Honestly, my kids were challenging. Both had emotional and learning issues. The teachers and counselors at this school saved me. They worked with my boys and with me. They made sure they were prepared for high school. I'm not sure why the low rating on this school. In fact, it was low right before my kids started there and then went to Mann elementary. But I will say I'm so glad they were at this middle school and it was a positive experience for them overall. No to mention that even with their learning issues, they scored well on standardized tests.

If your child is looking for a career in social activism, this is the school for you. Otherwise, I would steer clear. We are trying to get out of Oak Park all-together. The quality of schools don't reflect what you pay in property taxes-not by a long shot!

I pay too much in taxes for my children to be surrounded by a system of politically charged adults who believe my children are less deserving of help and support because they are white. Oak Park used to be a loving, open place. Now it is becoming aggresively anti white.

good school overall and the learning is easy and fun.
