Walter R Sundling Jr High School

Students are not prepared for the rigorous High School Math Cirruculum. This has been noticed by parents of students attending both Fremd and Palatine High Schools as Sundling is a feeder school for both high schools. Students are rarely assigned homework- this also presents a problem in high school. Going from zero hours of homework in jr high to 2-3 hours per night in high school leaves these students stressed and unable to manage their time effeciently. The administration of Sundling has been made aware of these concerns by Many, MANY parents in the last two years and nothing has changed. It is common that Sundling Students will be required to take a math refresher course over the summer prior to Freshman year at either high school.

The teachers here were the best. I had a great year at Sundling. I made so many friends here.

Great school, great teachers! It offers many clubs and activities! They handle student situations in the best way. It is better than other schools in the district like Winston Jr. high.

I have told about Sundling before, but my review never made it in. Maybe, because it is so positive. Awesome school, good Principal, good teachers. Sometimes it's not the school, it's the student. Have them get involved! Great after and before school activities!
