Schaumburg High School

Not good. If student needs support for mental health you will fail here. They do not do what they say they will do in class for IEP or 504. Teachers get away with doing the minimum unless parent gets involved. Even then, their structures for IEP support are ineffective, leave child on their own and with little direct support. If child is smart but struggles with mental health, they will be given low level basic teaching in order to "have support". Child can slip thru the cracks easy. You will be left feeling frustrated with little to no options that are HEALTHY for your child. This school works like an industrial machine. If you don't fit into the standard flow of things, you will be left exhausted, confused, desperate and lacking support. Extracurricular activities are very good. Class electives are above avg. Building is clean/ modern, and teachers are overall nice, but the core functioning of the special education dept needs a new model. School also starts at 7:30 am which leaves kids more tired than neighboring high schools like Conant.

We are leaving Schaumburg because of our very poor experience at this school. When I expressed concern to leadership, I was ignored.

Great school. Great activities. So pleased we move in this neighborhood

I go to this school now. It is not good at all. Some teachers are so disrespectful and don't pertain to the students.
