Absolutely awesome! Majority of Parents are very involved, supportive and volunteer to help whenever needed. It’s a real community and both my kids look forward to going to school. It’s newer, clean and they have incredibly dedicated staff/ coaches that love what they do.

My son just finished his freshman year at SEHS. He is a strong student and took mainly advanced placement or honors courses which he found to be good classes. Sadly his standard classes he found to be too easy and the kids in the classes not interested in learning. For sophomore year he will bein all AP / Honors courses and hoping the challenge is there along with the student participation. My son complained that there were daily fights in the hallways but honestly I saw that in my high school as well. You cannot attend a public school and not be exposed to every walk of life. It is unfortunate that SEHS has a higher population of kids that are not interested in learning.

My daughter is an honors student and will be a senior next year. I read some of the reviews and felt the need to defend SEHS. A lot of what you get out of school is what you put into it, parents included. The teachers are doing their best with what students they are given. I have observed classrooms and the level of disrespect students show teachers is disgusting. Those children will definitely not a good experience nor will the teachers make much progress educating them. My daughter has excelled and is receiving many scholarships to college and she did it all at a U46 school!

Definitely the best out of all U-46 high schools, but not as good as it is said to be. Individuals at this school are always out to get one another and its simply disgusting. Almost half of the teachers are only there for their paychecks and not the view and idea of educating students. Everyone at this school has a problem with more than one person, that's for sure. On a more positive side, SEHS provides so many extra-curricular activities and sports! Unfortunately,if you're not a very out-going person, school may seem like the worst place ever, but eventually you'll meet great people and get along well with teachers.
