Thornwood has left a bad taste in my mouth but unfortunately my children are not sentenced to a four year stint without a trial.

My daughter graduates 5/31/14 from this school. This school is terrible. Thorn-wood focuses on discipline stronger than educating the student. Thorn-wood school is very bad at communicating with the students, my daughter is there everyday but have to ask certain teachers about things concerning the senior class events. They didn't even have a luncheon for the seniors. My daughter statistic teacher told the students not to focus on the back of a worksheet, only the front for a test, but when they took the test that was the test, he never taught on the back of the work sheet, all the students failed. That is clear sabotage.

The school is bad! Just look at the scores. The teachers are doing nothing and they won't change them or get rid of them. Many have been there over a decade. everybody in the community sees it, when is the school or district going to wake up! If you challenge the teachers they take it out on the student.

thornwood Hs lives up to it's name, poor teacher who have been there forever and over a decade. They collect a paycheck, never updating PowerSchool and fail to teach students. They do the bare minimum. Nothing happens unless you complain. if you complain they have it out for the student. They fail t support the students unless it's a favorite. They give F's and yet don't want to explain or face the parents that are involved. This is the worse place to send your freshman . They come and beg middle schools to give them a chance because enrollment is down but yet they are still the same as 2004 when my other child attended.. Do not expect much from them ,you will be better sending you child to a city HS. The teachers could care less at this school, barley come to work and fail to enter grades in a timely fashion
