I have 2 kids at North. Every teacher has helped in every way when my child needed it. I cannot say for every grade my oldest went through, there was not a single teacher I didn't like. Every staff member put forth much effort to help mine and any kids when needed. I really do like the principal here, he truly cares about the kids and the staff. The ratings should be reconsidered because they do not reflect my experience with this school for the past 5 years. At all. This school deserves a much higher ranking, I would not rely solely on this site.

Teachers are caring and school focuses on positive reinforcement. My son also has an IEP and I felt like the entire process was very straightforward. My son loves this school and doesn't want to leave (until it's time for middle school).

The teachers care about the students and some even live in this town. My daughters show continued growth. They look forward to middle school, which very nearby.

North School gets a bad rap - a 3? really? - mainly because of test scores. A population where > 40% students are hispanic will obviously have some issues with reading tests in english. I feel this is arbitrary. The question is do you want to live in a mixed neighborhood? The school handles this extremely well. They are all inclusive and very supportive. Ive lived on the north side of villa park since 1977. O have to say that the schools have improved since then. Kudos to mr leinweber and staff. They do a great job.
