This is a wonderful school. The teachers are very dedicated to advancing the students as well as themselves. I often hear about them taking classes after work to become even better teachers! The principals and office staff are very helpful, a bit understaffed but still hard workers. When my child had a small issue with another student it was handled quickly and with a lot of real concern and care. The students are typical kids. A couple might have behavior problems but the rest are pretty decent. There is a lot of support at this school. I'm glad we came here.

This secretary was rude and not understanding of my urgency to register my daughter while her school and medical paper works was pending. She gave me a runaround and that my child have get an appointment to meet with the principal before she can enrolled. So she have to miss two more days in school just for that. I guess, they don't recognize the importance of School attendance and all. So I returned back and asked for my documents and enrolled elsewhere better. I wasted two weeks over this mess. Warning to new incoming! You have to make an appointment just to do paper works which took a few minutes.

I must say that Gwynns Falls is a great school. Two of kids graduated and every experience has been handle professional GOOD OR BAD.... The new principal is young but he do a good job at keeping the school in order. He handles issues that is bought to his attention and he also have a great assistant principal team. I been dealing with this school for over 5 years and currently do! I have watched teachers be promoted to assistant principals and I must say they picked teachers who is qualified. I've watched the principals, secretaries and teachers retire. I have seen a whole lot. Gwynns Falls was an excellent school 5 years ago and still is.

The current principal is the driving force behind the strong staff members leaving. My children have been there for years and while I would like to see them graduate from what used to be a fantastic school, I have to find better. He hired a couple of new teachers who have left the job of educating their class to their colleagues. Who does this? I don't know what is going to come of this school but my children won't be there to see it and thank goodness for the few good teachers that are left. I hope they find the strength to stay.
