Stadium School

The best middle school on the Northeastern side of BAltimore. My daughter graduated from Stadium and I am more than pleased.

I work at The Stadium School and have been there for many years. I have seen all of the transformations take place since 2006. The previous principal did a great job with our project based learning and we always had 85% of our 8th graders get into the top 3 schools in the city and the others to private schools for my first 5-6 years there. The Stadium school is the Pioneer of Exhibitions (SLC or whatever other schools now call them), we lead the way as the first Charter School in the City since 1994, and we have a rich history. We were number 1 in debate, NAL team was always in the top 8 in the city, 5 time state Champions in the Agriculture Bowl, and other experiences as well. It really says something when your staff/teachers send their children to the school where they work knowing their child will receive the best education from their colleagues and still had to follow all procedures to actually get accepted into the school. There were many great experiences I've had as well as the students who some have gone on to college and are now teachers, doctors, in law school, etc. Having the opportunity to teach these students was and honor and blessing.The school is under a new direction with new administration. The school was going down hill, to an extent. When you void the old process of criteria to get into the school, allowing any student to come then your result is just like all other middle schools. The new administration came and pretty much cleaned up a couple of years of turmoil. The school is back to where we need to be. The students have more additional activities; choir, bucket drumming, Chess, NAL, Intramural Basketball, had a school basketball team, 5 time city Champion Girls Lacrosse team, winners of poetry contests throughout the city, go on more field trip, and lots more to make your child well-rounded. Academically our students can compete with any student on their grade level in the state. You =r child is safe, disciplined, and will learn because of the administration and teachers that work here. It is now more of a family atmosphere then it was before. The teachers are dedicated and will ensure your child gets the best education possible. This new administration is slowly, but surely bringing The Stadium School back to the top. So if you want great environment, great teachers, and a well run school, look no farther, you have arrived!

My experience at Stadium has been very positive. Not only is the climate of the school conducive to a great learning environment, but the teachers are excellent at what they do! Stadium will give our inner city children the urgency they need for a good education!

This is a safe school that offers students life experiences through field trips.
