I went to this school for a total of 8 years (Pre-K - 6th) and along the way I learned many life lessons. 99% of the teachers I had made my time at this school truly memorable. The programs such as the Student Ambassadors and the going to Duckworth in the 4th Grade, an being a Safety Patrol gave me the opportunity to make new friends and connect even more with the ones I already had. All of the teachers I had gave me the most excellent time there. Along with the proper school material, they also taught me that it is okay to reach out if there is ever a problem. My mother, aunts, uncles, and cousins all went to this school so a lot of the the teachers had an immediate connection to me which made the experience even better. Looking back, I think I can honestly say that, for me, that was the perfect school.

I am highly disappointed with this school. The staff and teacher's are not welcoming. The main office is completely unorganized and most of the staff members are rude and unprofessional. When I asked to offer my time and resources I was shut down by the teacher. The school should want to build relationship with parents and not push them away. When asked why the school isn't offering snack time this year I was told it was due to mice infestation. I hope the parents who are equally as frustrated speak up and this review helps change the way the school operates in the near future.

My daughter used to attend Beltsville Academy in kindergarten, now she's returning back for 7th grade and so far it has been the worst experience. There is ano older Hispanic lady in the office who is not only rude and inconsiderate, half of the time she doesn't have any knowledge of what is going on or what she is talking about. It seems like every single time you either speak to her over the phone or see her in person she is just trying to get rid of everyone. Everything in that office is chaotic when she is in charge, but as soon as someone else walks in everything tends to calm down.I think that if she was more of a "people person" things would run a little smoother. Also if she didn't talk down to all the parents and scream so much, it would make all visits to the main office a little more pleasant. Parents literally have to argue with her to get their point across.

We have had a very good experience at this school. Especially love the k-8 format and feel this not only is better for middle schoolers but also makes the school community stronger and more supportive.
