Jeffers Hill Elementary School

Jeffers Hill is small, but mighty. I'd heard some things from neighbors before sending our children to JHES--they'd actually enrolled their kids in private schools. I was nervous, but JHES turned out to be amazing.The teachers and administration are incredibly supportive and encouraging. They always encourage positive behavior and provide effective recognition and feedback to students and parents.The teachers are incredible and we've been grateful for their hard work.JHES is a smaller school, but the PTA and staff work hard to ensure that every child has opportunities to shine, be it through music, STEAM club, athletic clubs, or the G&T program. It's incredibly diverse and the competition is healthy and encouraging.I can honestly say after 6 years of experience as a JHES parents that I have only positive things to say about the school. My fears were unfounded and my kids have had wonderful experiences. Thank you, Mrs. Shifflett and Mrs. Strong and your staff for all that you've done.

JHES deserves a better rating than 5. This is a relatively small school with less than 500 students so you get to know everyone. My oldest daughter completed her elem education here and it was always a good experience, no complaints. Teachers are very responsive and always willing to discuss any issues. They don't get too much homework which is a plus for our family. I currently have 2 children entering 2nd and 5th grade and they are happy with the school too. The only issue I have is the building structure is getting old but they are working on renovations.

Great school my child really enjoys waking up and going to school.

This is my son's first year at Jeffers Hill and it has been a very good year. The teachers have been great helping him to get adjusted. I really like the administration as well. You can see that they truly care about there students. Shortly after assessments my son was moved up to the a higher math class and is doing well.
