Manor Woods has a current population of 777 students and is growing at a dangerous rate, due to new construction. The school's capacity is 680. Dedicated teachers and staff work diligently to meet the needs of students, while dealing with large class sizes and inadequate space.

Manor Woods is extremely overcrowded due to a recent boom in local housing development. Projections for fall 2017 are 900+ students in a space designed for 680. Redistricting will most likely occur for the 2018-19 school year.Overall, Manor Woods does a good job catering to the highest and lowest achieving students. Those in the middle don't get nearly as much attention.

My oldest child has dyslexia. I can't say enough about the services she received at Manor Woods. Teachers and school admin were great. They listened to every request we had, answered all of our questions, explained what could or couldn't be done, and prepared my daugther to be successful at middle school. She had a smooth transition and is doing great. We have two other kids at Manor Woods and both love the school and teachers. Great music programs (orchestra and the children's choir). The school was recently remodeled and now classrooms have doors, which helps with the noise level. That was definitely an improvement.

Horrible leadership--principal (Mr. We inset) has a bad attitude and does not establish or maintain good relationships with students or parents. Teachers are lazy know-it-alls and support staff is unqualified. Very disappointed, Howard County.
