Patuxent Elementary School

Its very disturbing to see that on the school's website the school allows their teachers to eliminate their last name to hide their true identity. It's bad enough that the children in special education need extra help, but to not give parents the opportunity to look into who is really teaching our children is even more disgusting! If you have a child that is going to be in Kindergarten here at Patuxent Elementary in Special education classes, find out the teacher's REAL last name because she is using her nickname (as her last name) to cover up her shady past.

use to love this school when my older kids went there but this new princepal there and her front desk people are all rude not helpful. And not to mention this is a woman who likes to hear herself speak way to much.but I do still love the teachers. though I will be glad when my child is out of there .

I LOVE Patuxent Elementary. I feel very fortunate that my children were able to attend this school during the three years we lived in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the trachers are top notch, and the PBIS system truly rewards students for good behavior as well as clearly defines expectations and consequences for poor behavior. I wish I could pick this school up and move it with us.

Let me just say that if your child gets to attend Patuxent Elementary then He or She is very lucky.I sent my Daughter to two other schools before Patuxent and I was very satsified with Patuxent.I was very worried about her because those other Schools had her way behind for her age and Patuxent pulled her up to her grade level in one year.They gave her extra classes after School for the topics that she needed.I didn't have to ask them they just knew what she needed.This is just a wonderful School.
