I absolutely love Sparrows Point High School. It is on the smaller side even though it houses the SPECIES magnet program and there are students from all over Baltimore County, it is still a very community oriented school. The music program is very good, offering students classes in chorus and instrumental music. Students have the opportunity to learn guitar and the school even provides one for use to learn and practice with. Private lessons would be very expensive. The teachers are always willing to help students excel and offer after school assistance if needed.
I just graduated class of '09 and I can honestly say that SPHS has helped me get to where I am now. I'm currently at one of the best tech colleges in the country for environmental management and technology. I was in the environmental science magnet at the Point and it was the best experiences of my life. I would suggest this school a thousand times.
