My family moved from Florida to Westminster last March and my daughter has had an excellent experience at Friendship Valley. It has been a much more pleasant experience than the past experiences we have had in the Florida school system. The entire staff is great and it is a excellent learning environment.

I would have selected zero stars if I could. The school smells like a pet store, don't know what they've been doing all summer, but NOT CLEANING. Stood through 1/2 hour orientation (not enough seats, or a big enough room) and I didn't hear a single word they said, they had a microphone, that they didn't use! So far I have had nothing but uncomfortable interaction with office staff, nurse and principal in this school. "Don't expect a call back" that was advice given to me by ALL the parents at the bus stop when I told them that I put a call in to the principal- they were right, it took several days! The nurse kept calling me "mom", even though I told her my name, and she could clearly see my sons last name on the paperwork I was handing in. And when I entered the office to drop off my sons lunch, the office staff didn't lift their heads to acknowledge me for an EXTREMELY long time, it was like they were each waiting for someone else to greet me so they wouldn't have to "deal with it" POOR COMMUNICATION POOR MANNERS School HAS AN ODOR uggg, I am so disappointed with how uncomfortable this school is making me feel. We have a long road ahead of us.

My daughter has attended FVES for 2 years and we both love the school! I've had nothing but positive interaction with all staff and teachers. They were very helpful and considerate when a temporary hearing impairment was discovered and always open to communication whether phone call or email. I'm a single mom so far from wealthy and never experienced any snobbish attitudes and have actually become great friends with many of the parents.

While my child attended school at FVE, I had high hopes that it would've been a great experience for her but instead it was awful. The front office is rude and with some teachers, I felt they pre-judged my child without knowing what her personailty was like. The parents were snobs and so were some of the kids. Very unfriendly unless you came from money and were into sports. The school nurse was fabulous and the gym teachers were encouraging as were the art and music teachers. However, all-in-all I decided to pull my child out and move her to a private school where more nuturing and one-on-one instruction was provided. I guess with the way our political system is, it's very obvious that teachers truly can't teach and the number of days you miss school is more important. Glad we're done with FVE.
