Meyerland's cuisines are wide ranging, but you are less likely to find small, locally owned shops. While the nightlife is not represented in Meyerland, downtown and the Galleria area are just a short ride away. Meyerland is close to NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans. Games and conventions are held at the venue almost every weekend, so you're not far from some of the best entertainment and events Houston has to offer. This is especially true when the rodeo comes to town.

Sunday's are quieter in the area, so you may have to travel to find some fun things to do. The area is close to the 610 loop, so getting to other areas of the city is quick and efficient. If you're looking to get in some home renovations or visit your favorite store, there are plenty of chains in Meyerland that make the perfect Sunday a dream for any resident. There are also two city parks that offer Little League Parks, walking trails, and the opportunity to get out into the open air.
