My daughters time in DeWitt schools was truly wonderful. The instructing and commitment from teachers was far above average. The community involvement was exceptional and helped my daughter and myself to feal secure and supported throughout. There's a great deal of pride connected to the schools and their sport activities and I would strongly reccomend DeWitt schools to any and all families.

Very few schools in the state compare to the overall experience that DeWitt High School has. The academics are outstanding, athletics consistently produces winning teams and the arts are top notch. On top of all of that, there are lots of clubs. There truly seems to be a spot for every kind of student.

My kids have had an excellent academic experience. While we have had one teacher that was not top notch, the rest have been above expectations (That is good odds). The administration and Board seem to be sensitive to the community needs and progressive in finding ways to improve the teaching experience. In reviewing places to live in the Greater Lansing Region, I strongly believe that this is not a better school system in the area.

I'm glad I'm not the only paren that sees through the hiding district. The schools'/district's NUMBER ONE CONCERN is THEMSELVES (read: LIABILITY). They will do whatever it takes to skirt out of responsibility from turning the blame to someone else or avoid parents like the plague. you've got a 140k/yr overpaid superintendent who is not only rude, but clueless to what's happening in departments he, personally, is supposed to oversee. . Everytime you turn around they want the PARENT to fund something taxes used to pay for. These people think they are Okemos, but clearly lack CLASS. And the things going on in the halls of the HS?! RUN. You've been warned. My 10th grader has been very enlightening. 2 more years and he's done. May have to yank the 4th grader.
