In 2012 My family moved here from Warren, MI. My seventeen year old son was transferring from Warren Woods Tower. He only needed a few credits. he had no disciplinary problems on his transcript whatsoever. The principal of this school refused him admittance and suggested he attend the Harrison Center. The principal never even met with my son. The Harrison Center was a horrible experience, not a real school in any way. My son eventually left Harrison and still has not finished high school. My son fell through the cracks once we moved to Port Huron. One boy's life pretty much ruined by the arbitrary decision of a pompous fool. I grew up and attended school in New York State. The education standards there were higher when I was in school than they are in Michigan today. I graduated high school with a Regents diploma and went on to college. My son would be in college now if one man had seen him as a person with potential instead of a transcript.

I am currently a student at PHHS as well. It has its ups and downs. There are a handful...maybe 5 REALLY good teachers. The math department is falling apart due to a new curriculum supposedly state wide, although it seems only PH has fully adopted it.
