Central Elementary is a very great school but the uniforms need to go, kids get made fun of for used/worn out uniforms the same as street clothes.

Central Elementary is without a doubt a VERY good school. Mrs. Mellissa Smith is an awsesome Principal. However the E.C (EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN). department needs a little work. Stanly County needs to dig a liitle deeper into their funding and hire PROFFESIONALLY TRAINED AND EXPERIENCED TEACHERS WITH PATIENCE GUIDANCE AND THE UNDERSTANDING OF SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN. MY CHILD ATTENDED CENTRAL ELEMENTARY 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR AND WAS HURT VERY BADLY IN THE CLASSROOM. THANKFULLY I FOUND A SCHOOL THAT DEALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN IN ANOTHER COUNTY. I RATE THE SCHOL A (5) AND MY SON'S TEACHERS A (2).

Central Elementary is a great elementary school! The staff and teachers always go above and beyond to ensure student success. Our school has a very diverse population, thus making it a great place to work and learn about ourselves and others. Our school has really grown over the past several years; from about 300 students to almost 600! We have a highly qualified staff that utilizes as many resources as possible to serve our students and community. School staff are constantly thinking of ways to enhance our students' lives, whether it be academically or socially. We offer many extra-curricular activities and classes such as: Glee Club, Mini-Medley Running Club, Spanish Club, and after school tutoring in math and reading. These are just a few opportunities for our students to be all that they can be. As an educator at Central, I cannot think of any place I would rather be nor any other calling I could attain than to be at such a wonderful institution. The staff, students, parents, and community are always willing to do whatever it takes to achieve student success. We are all partners at Central Elementary and I feel blessed to be a member of this team!
