Durham School Of The Arts

As a student at this school with a firsthand experience (other than the people who have never stepped foot in it who still feel like they know all about it, might I add), I would say that this is an amazing school with a mostly amazing staff. This school has wonderful art programs and teachers who really want to teach. It's an extremely diverse school, and it's very welcoming to people of all different backgrounds. What brings it down is the bad leadership and the endless shaming of students who simply aren't the best at everything.

My and my child's experience has been challenging and emotionally draining to say the very least. While we have only been at the school for less than a year, there are several concerns that developed quickly with respect to my observations concerning my child as well as other students.

This has been absolutely without a doubt a phenomenal school for my child, she has been given so many opportunities for growth and is becoming such a well rounded intelligent young woman.

My experience with this school was very disappointing.
