Hemby Bridge Elementary School

This is a great school with helpful and attentive teachers. Communication between teachers and parents is great. Parents are involved in school life. We really enjoyed being there.

Not great although there is a great potential which is why we stay. Improved leadership and accountability for the teachers would make a tremendous difference.

This school was built in the mid-70s. K-3 is open classrooms divided by bookshelves and bulletin boards. Grades 4 and 5 are in a separate, more modern building. Everything is freshly painted throughout, bright, well maintained, and clean. The library is nice, airy and open, as it sits in the middle of the open classroom building. You walk through the library to get to the rest of the school, which is awesome to have students surrounded by books. The cafeteria food is really good with lots of fresh fruit and vegetable options. The parents, teachers and staff are very friendly.

I am a former HB student and I have 2 boys who have already been through through HB and one entering 5th and one entering 2nd. I absolutely love all the staff at this school. It has changed in many ways over the years. I have complete trust in all the staff at HB! I know they are going to do everything they can to protect and help my children!
