The only reason they are still here is because it's a great purview into how ruthless can be the world sometimes, and how important it is to figure out how to be independently effective when surrounded by incompetence. They get to see firsthand how the world is unfair and not always a nice place. They get to learn how to improvise when they can't count on the adults. Like I said, if I didn't feel we've given them ample opportunities to find stability and confidence elsewhere and at home, I would rescue them from this cesspool.

It was horrible and a nightmare can not believe this is actually a school

My son was bullied and kicked in the back of his head by a student and NOTHING was done to protect. The same student was back in school the next day

I spent all 3 years of middle school at PRMS and overall it was a bad experience. Unqualified teachers, excess homework, unmonitored students, graffiti on the walls of the bathrooms, filthy cafeteria, unlocked back doors on every hallway, and students being taught in trailers outside of the school due to overcrowding just scratch the surface of my complaints. I have also found that bullying is a problem. The counselors are a joke, they don't do much to help. Changing classes is a nightmare. In regards to the poor staff and unqualified teachers, I've heard janitors cursing at students, and the teachers either babying their students or treating them like dirt. Many of my former teachers also frequently complained about their salary to the class. Religion is too heavily talked about in the classroom with several teachers. Don't take my opinion as one written by a thug teen whose bitter about school, but rather as someone who cares about being taught in a good environment. I was not provided with this environment at Porter Ridge Middle School. I'm glad I never have to go back. Good luck to those enrolling here. You'll need it.
