The teachers and staff love what they do and it translates into an exceptional experience for students and parents.

This school is awful. Cold, harsh environment for young kids. A few good teachers, but many have poor attitudes, are incompetent, and just plain mean/rude to students and parents. Most are unorganized and can't seem to follow a lesson plan, yet have unreasonable expectations for even the youngest children. Having high expectations is fine, but this school does not give kids the tools they need to reach them. Communication is terrible. Teachers have no accountability. Principal does not seem to connect with students. Too much focus on group data/metrics versus individual learning. Because of the demographic, many kids are already at or above grade level, so teachers seem complacent. Kids who dont fit the mold are ignored or treated poorly. School does not have a sense of community, and almost seems to go the opposite way. Overall, a bad culture that is not conducive to a positive learning experience for such young kids.

My son is a rising 2nd grader and we have truly enjoyed the staff, teachers and community since Kindergarten. It is one for the best public primary schools in such a large and challenging school district
