Discovery High School at Newton Conover

My experience so far is great, they give AP courses which is great for your GPA and College. The honor clases are great, and the courses that are offered, give you a chance to experience and learn about different things. The school also makes you feel like a family, and they dont single you out.

Has been an excellent Honors/AP & College Ready school for our son. He is in his Sr year and has loved all the classes/subjects offered and the opportunity to take local community college class pathways as well. Every school has its struggles so it is not perfect but has been an overall great experience thus far.

I had a tough middle school, and often was left behind in lessons and was bullied by the kids. When I came to Discovery, it was like heaven. Everyone here is nice and welcoming. Most of us are nerds, so we have a lot of common interests. The teachers are amazing, not perfect, but getting there. Whenever there is a problem with the classes learning or trouble amongst the students, the faculty quickly move to fix it. I love it here, and can't even think of leaving.

Our community is lucky to have such an awesome school. Teachers teach kids how to think, not what to think. My son has done fantastic his four years there. And Mr. Robinson is commited to the students and improving our education system. You simply cannot go wrong with Discovery.
