Honesty this school is terrible I have been pushed around and bullied by teachers and students and the principal and Asst. principal did nothing to stop these verbal and physical attacks on me students here are terrifying and some teachers are just as bad. One of my teachers was verbally abusing me all semester and no authority figure wanted to hear it every time I brought it up they would basically tell me to drop it and said "you're going to deal with people you don't get along with your whole life" but when a teacher makes remarks about your sexuality and calls you out in class trying to embarrass you it's more than just not getting along it's harassment.

Child has been challenged by teachers in all honor classes, clubs, and sports. The teachers there are invested in their students and really care about their futures.

I researched long and hard looking for the best high school in an affordable quiet area of NC with a comfortable commute to work. JMHS kept coming up on the list. Rated in the top 15 by US News in NC for the past couple of years and winning awards. The staff is professional, friendly, and not jaded like so many schools in our country. They want to send our kids off with skills, not just grades. Our introverted teenager started there in the middle of the freshman year, quickly accepted and befriended by many well adjusted kids and he loves it there. How often does a teenager love his school and going to it! I hear the same from many of the other teenagers. JMHS may not look that great in the ratings, but they are a hidden gem. We chose them after exhausted research before moving here from half way across the country and we have no regrets!
