The security of the buildings is questionable. There is no reason the students should be sent to open the doors for adults coming into the building. Also, the office staff is not very friendly. Despite that, the teachers that we have had experience with were wonderful.
Dedicated teachers, and lots of guidance for parents to help their child succeed. Great variety of after school clubs. Lots of options for all kids to find a club doing what they love. Honestly, I'm surprised they offer so much considering most public schools cut everything now a days.
SPE takes quality, personalized education to a new level. The principal's best quality is the atmosphere that she fosters at the school - one of communication and cooperation, with parents, teachers and students alike.

This is our second year at SPES, and we have experience in all three grades. My kids have been challenged and nurtured by the teachers and staff. The academic standards are continually evaluated and updated to maximize student learning. The school has an awesome positive behavior reward system.

My daughter attended SPES for two years. The school is very old, but is adequately maintained. It is located in a high end neighborhood and surrounded by beautiful historic homes. My daughter and I both enjoyed the teachers and administration.
