We had a great experience with the teachers, administration, and office staff. Responsive and the teachers my child had seem to really care.

We have always had an amazing experience here. I do wish they would get air conditioning.

Special services in this school is a joke. They are not equipped to handle special needs children and they "foster" kids behavioral problems by sending them to the principal's office anytime the teacher doesn't like the way a kid looks at them. My child and I did not feel supported, but rather bullied by special services and the principal.

My son attended Lanes Mills Elementary this year due to our displacement from Hurricane Sandy. Everyone knows how difficult it is to make new friends and adjust, especially for children. Well, let's just say 2013-2014 was not a great year for him in this school. For one, the teachers lack communication. They were sooo quick to tell me what my child did wrong, but it was difficult to advise when he was doing well. I was pushed over the edge, when the Principal, called me today to advise that my son "accidentally" got paint on another girls BRAND NEW sweatshirt during class. My first question was "Why weren't they wearing smocks?" No answer for that one. Secondly, why are they not using non toxic washable paint. No answer. But, he did make it his BUSINESS to tell me my son needs to REPLACE the shirt. Really?? The schools fails to provide smocks during a painting project, but my child has to pay for a new sweatshirt?? Not to mention, this just happened today. Whose to say the paint wouldn't come out in the washing machine. They just automatically want us to replace it. So happy this is my son's LAST year in this school. Nothing like Cedar Grove in Toms River.
