I had been one year in this school and i can say that its very difficult to be in these kind of space. most of the student in the school are spanish. its very hard to make a friends if you are not a spanish speaker. the counselor are not really good. the teachers having trouble teaching the students. if you are a spanish speaker i would recomend to go to this school.
Actually unsafe if you are not a white person.
The efforts by administration and the teachers to help improve the school can definitely be noticed! Classes have been added to the curriculum and academic clubs/teams like DECA have been added as well. Hopefully the improvements will continue and more enriching and challenging courses will be added to the curriculum.
This high school really isn't that bad with its academic opportunities. I find that the only issues with the school are the students that attend it and the overcrowding. Many students in the school just don't have a passion to academically excel. Also, there are quite a bit of students that are disruptive and rude to teachers. Addressing the overcrowding part, there are a lot of students that attend this school, and the merge with the students residing in Fairview definitely adds to it. The school was built many years ago, back when the town had a much smaller population. So, this school really isn't meant 1,000+ students. Walking through the halls can be extremely frustrating. If you are, or will be, a student here just know that as long as you are mature in school, take your education seriously, and don't mind many of the annoying people around you, you will not have such a hard time. Yes, there are a few teachers that students would not be very lucky to have, but that is the same for every school. As long as you are respectful, many teachers are very helping. There are many excellent teachers I can name. This school offers a variety of advanced classes, such as AP Biology, AP Physics I, AP Calculus, AP English, and more. There are also honors classes for many of the core subjects. If you are able you get into these classes, you don't have to worry so much about bothersome students. Overall, this school is not bad, except for the fact that a good portion of the students are lacking in their ambition to excel.
