Lackluster social environment due to limited cultural diversity but academically this school is above average. Cranbury is a small town and has lots of people who are similar and not exactly exposed to diversity or worldwide experiences. People here are not open to cultural or socioeconomic differences. And to children who are the least bit quirky or different, this is a very intolerant population. Most teachers are kind as well as office and custodial staff. I think this is because they don't live in Cranbury. Overall, academics are why we stayed but in the end we are glad to leave and send all our kids to private high school. The busing to Princeton High School is long and terrible due to traffic. Some kids resort to Uber, which does not seem safe at all. I'm just glad our kids started out somewhere else so they were not so narrow-minded from small town Cranbury.

I would rate it at higher than 10, if such a rating is available!

-Very rare K-8 school. 2-3 classes per grade -Small class sizes, additional supports built into the classrooms (ex. basic skills-reading/math) -Teachers with a diverse skill set (Multiple degrees, experience in other districts) -Consistently high test scores -Involved PTO (After school programs, fundraisers to support school (Craft show)) -School-Community connections (Lions Club-Parades, Pumpkin night) -Dedicated administrators (Visible, and Approachable) -Students attend Princeton HS after 8th grade

Great school, terrific principal, mostly really good teachers and incredible parental involvement and support. People move to Cranbury for the school and that is a virtuous cycle because then the community rallies behind the school and kid-friendly activities. Classroom resources at this school are better than Princeton High School and on-par with many private schools. Great music program. We and the kids have really liked the single K-8 system. Small to medium class sizes but typically only about 3 classes per grade. Everyone gets to know each other and the teachers and administration know everyone. Great test scores. A few bad teachers but they mostly don t last. Main downside of small school is limited and under-developed sports program in middle school and not enough students and teachers to support a true elective system in middle school like most would have.
