Deal Elementary School

Deal Elementary School is a wonderful school. The atmosphere is very warm and nurturing. Equally as important the education is phenomenal. The teachers and administrative staff are so very helpful. We are truly blessed that our children are able to attend such an amazing School.

We could not be happier. We transferred from another school district and immediately noticed a huge difference. The teachers care and go out of their way to educate and mold the kids. The new (3 years there) principal/superintendent is excellent. My kids are happy and look forward to going to school. The classes are small and the enrollment is under 200 school wide so I feel like my children get a more focused education. Would recommend it to everyone!

In short, Deal School is the best school ever. Deal focuses on the whole child and in addition to the academic course offerings available it allows students access to a comprehensive STEAM curriculum and supports the development of each individual's art, music, foreign language and technology interests. With a 1:6 faculty/student ratio, students seem to have access to a much higher level of staff attention than within the typical public school setting in NJ. For students with special needs, Deal accommodates and even develops programs to support students. When problems arise, concerns are addressed. Principal, Donato Saponaro is engaged & invested and the Board of Education responds to parent requests, feedback, and concerns. An endearing quality of Deal School is the commitment to developing student's social skills. Deal has adeptly created an environment in which the older kids look out for the younger kids, similar to within a typical family setting. Deal School knows that it takes a village to raise great kids and the village: including school nurse, school secretary, guidance counselors, specials teachers, classroom teachers, support staff and administrators are committed to supporting families to do just that! Community building opportunities are available and Deal families get back whatever they are willing to put forth. I would recommend Deal School to anyone looking for a fantastic educational setting for their child(ren) to spend their Kindergarten through eighth grade years.

We have been at this school for 2 years now and it was highly recommended. The choice program is great for those of us looking for a different school than your local towns school. The tight nite community is awesome. The school has alot of fundraisers and events to have the families bond and get to know each other. My son comes hone everyday with a smile on his face and a story to tell me. The teachers seem to really care for the students.
