I don't really know what makes a school a great school, but i can see my kid being very happy at this school. His grades are improving with every period and he has received honors for the latest period. No, he is not overwhelmed with homework and i personally think he spends not enough time on doing it. All i can say is that my child is safe, happy and doing well.

This school was the worst I had a terrible experience here, the teachers only taught the ways that worked for them and not for the students and are all mean they didn't care if a student was having trouble, if you were being bullied and told any teacher or adult in the building it was just apologize and it's over and done with and that doesn t work, they care more about technology then the children and what the kids think. The school in no way prepared me for high school or the real world and they give way to much homework and put a lot of stress on the students. They also treat sports like there more important then music and drama and everything else and it's not if you don't treat clubs the same then it put kids down. A school is suppose to me a safe place But so many bad things have happened that it make the kids not feel safe. This was by far the worse experance I have had in a school the only teachers I felt were good were the seventh grade teacher and choir, band, art teachers and the previous pffles teacher I graduated last year.

I graduated Barkalow in 2013 and I was so sad to be leaving. From the day I walked in the doors here, I was welcomed and felt so at home. The principal calls all the students his "kids" and I completely felt I was one during my time here. The teachers are generally wonderful and will go out of their way to make every student feel comfortable with the material before moving on. I am still in contact with two of my eighth grade teachers from this school and I'm going to be a senior in high school soon. I miss Barkalow so much; cherish every minute that you attend here.

My son goes to this school and I notice a great improvement from his study habits. He made highest honors in 6th grade and high honors in 7th grade. This school have so far given my son the education he needs. He always brags about how the teachers are so much fun to learn from. They make it a better teaching environment when you can communicate with the kids. He is going into 8th this year and he is already talking about going to a specialize high school. Barkalow makes a big difference. Thank you CTB. My son is not a book worm that studies all day but he retains the information better with the teachers in this school. I just hope this will be the case in high school.
