Always a half hearted interest when there are failing grades. There little or no communication from teachers when there is an issue . Then zero follow up from guidance and Principal. If you don't constantly call and complain you will not get any feedback or help.

I won't say this is a bad school, but it's not a great school either. Only select children are treated as "individuals" and receive encouragement and nurturing. The rest, the majority, just blend in with the masses and survive. The level of education is OK. There are some good teachers, though most that I have dealt with seem under too much pressure and rules to really let their teaching skills show. The reading/writing program is awful. Does not prepare children for a high school level writing and totally destroys any love for reading. You will never see the writing work your child does making it very hard to help them at home and writing that is not very good will receive "great job!" and A's. If you go to this school, make sure you see writing done by your child and help them at home because they won't get it at school. Also know that this school is very big on teaching for the test. Achieve 3000 is required homework and is nothing more than test training.

God help you if you have a child in this school with special needs. Your child's IEP will be wholly ignored and you won't be properly informed of behavioral issues. The school will not hesitate to sound the loudest alarm they can find to release a bulldozer in order to kill a fly and they could care less about leveling serious false allegations against parents while readily admitting they don't know your child, didn't check with teachers in a previous school who did (in the same district!) and don't have the resources in place they represented to have both ready and available. Hideous.
