George Mitchell Elementary School

Since our start at GJM in September it has been great! My son who has some learning issues as well as behavior. It was addressed promptly and with his best interest coming first! I am more than pleased with GJM and the wonderful teachers and staff!!!

We opted not to enroll our son at GJM for kindergarten after A very bad experience with the child study team. They were very difficult to work with & I felt my son was being penalized for not having taken part in their overcrowded free daycare program for preK. We opted to pay private tuition for a respectable school.

It wasn't until I moved away that I realized what a great school George J. Mitchell is. My kids attended in 2008 when Mitchell was the only elementary school. They have 6 specials - gym, music, art, science, library and PEP. Their gifted & talented program is WONDERFUL and stimulating for the kids involved. They have great parental involvement and widely attended PTA functions. They have summer time camps run by teachers. They have a very safe, secure procedure for visitors. Overall, it is a great school and I really miss it!

They have an excellent curriculum. The teachers really care about the children. My daughter looks forward to going to school everyday.
