Pinelands Reg High School

I am a Pinelands graduate with a doctorate degree and am very appreciative of the education I received there. The resources at the school are there if you avail yourself of them. Extremely caring staff and some great teachers. Drama Program is amazing. I think the parents that are complaining need to look at their children and themselves and not the school. The teachers cannot do it alone. if you are not motivating your children, ensuring that they are doing their work every night and helping them prepare for tests, quizzes and projects you should expect that they will fail in school and life. Making excuses for their failure and putting all of the blame on the teachers is the wrong message to send to your children.

This school is so unresponsive. If your child has a learning issue or an attention problem, they do not know how to handle it. My son went from A-B's to F's. Almost all straight F's. Horrible.

While this school and others in the district/area are getting bad reviews,our childrens experiences have been outstanding. There is a strong support system for the students and parents. Childrens learning does not stop at the end of the school day. They must have strong support at home academically as the parents and family must participate in the learning experience. The quality of the education your children recieve is a direct reflection on the continued learning they recieve at home. Remember teachers are not baby sitters.

I used to attend this school, I am now in college and let me tell you Pinelands has prepared me for college in so many ways. We may not have outstanding academic scores and our sports teams may not win as much as the other schools but I learned more life lessons from this school than anyone else in Ocean County. Pinelands is a small school and its like a family there, we look out for each other. The teachers are less like drill sargents and more like parents away from our parents. The coaches care about their athletes more then they care about the win. Learning is fun at Pinelands, high school is for making memories and all of the ones I have made are positive. You can say learning cant be fun if you are not retaining the necessary material but I have gone to all the schools in LEH and I am currently holding a 4.0 at college so they must be doing something right. If you come on here and want to rate the school bad because the athletics are terrible or because we have a lot of pregnancies, maybe try talking to your kids about safe sex and how winning isnt everything and stop blaming it on the school, you sound ridiculous.
