I loved my time at Red Bank Regional. Being from Union Beach, I had a wide array of options to pick when it came to High School: Keyport, Catholic schools, the Monmouth County Vocationals, or RBR. I was lucky enough to be accepted into the Finance Academy in 2012, and I never looked back. I graduated as a part of the Class of 2016, and I had an incredible experience that I will miss.

Our daughter has planned since 5th grade to get herself into the creative writing academy at red bank - it is better than she imagined.- with only accepting 10-12 students each year and the application process is not easy . She is so happy to be with other students who think as she does - share creative ideas and grow from it. - First meeting Doc her first sentence if you don't bring 100% to my classroom don't bother coming. My daughter and other students in her class bring 100%. To see her happy flourish Best decision !! Our daughers own words so refreshing to be with other students who want more !!

My daughter is a freshman vocal major and we just completed her first semester. We couldn't be happier! What a student focused, creative environment. The concept that the school fosters each kid's passion and talent is amazing. Whether your kid wants to major in harp, voice, acting, dance, or pre-engineering...there is a program at RBR for them. My daughter takes 3 music classes, all in the scope of her everyday schedule, including vocal training. The teachers have been great so far, the schedule is manageable with 90 minute classes, and the classes have been appropriately challenging. I am commuting an hour from North Jersey to be here on most days, and I am fine with that as my daughter is so happy. In my opinion, this school rivals NYC's LaGuardia High School for the Arts. I only wish that other high schools in NJ would emulate the learning model here at RBR. What a refreshing change from the boring, throw work at the kids, inconsistent, race to nowhere curriculum we were used to in our North Jersey High School. RBR has figured out how to do core curriculum correctly AND fuel a kid's passion. We are grateful we found it. Oh...and there's an IB program, too!

RBR was a wonderful school for our kids. It is culturally and academically diverse, with both rigorous IB and AP programs, as well as the performing arts. Two of our children were very well prepared for admission to and attendance at elite colleges. Another was equally well prepared for admission to a performing arts program. Finally, I have watched over the years as the culture of the school has become increasingly inclusive and supportive. The atmosphere between the different ethnic and interest groups is one of acceptance and support. I believe this reflects the philosophy and competence of the school teachers and leadership. Last year was a tough year for this school, with many families impacted by hurricane Sandy and two tragic losses. I happened to be in the school following one of these, and was amazed to see how the community of students came together to support each other. If I had it to do over, I would absolutely choose to send my kids here.
