Poor. My child with learning differences was take. Out of lunch to and recess to complete assignments. The vice principal interrogated my son every morning about incomplete homework assignments. Children with learning differences need modified assignments. The young, inexperienced teachers were unwilling to participate in any further than two hours a year regarding dyslexia training, including special education teachers. It was a painful and degrading experience for my child with learning differences.

We have had a great experience with this school. Please keep in mind when looking at this school that they contain the the academically talented classrooms which are the top kids across the entire town (who are bussed to this school despite their zoned school). They tend to increase the test scores of this school. That being said the Principal and Vice Principal are PHENOMENAL. Lafayette Mills is one of the smaller elementary schools in the district which is very nice. (we are zoned for the largest elementary schools in the district where its hard for the Principal to have such a strong presence bc of the size).
Depends on which teacher you get. First grade was terrible, second grade was great. The security at the school is not so good. You ring a bell to get in, but I've been there a few times, and they didn't even ask to see an ID.
