This school has gone down in quality significantly. Children are being bullied without any intervention by administration. Administration is insensitive, dismissive, and condescending. It's a shame because my older 2 children had a positive experience years ago but my younger child has been tortured for the last 2 years. I'll be requesting a transfer. This is a top school district with inflated taxes and I am sickened by how this school has suddenly tanked.

My son went to Deans and now in Brooks. I am well pleased with the environment, administration and activities.

Deans school is a big disappointment. Esp. considering its a high tax paying district and a decent so called rating. Administration is dictatorship style! staff is condescending at best, unless you have and use the best people skills and don't take things personally. Physical condition of the premises is terrible. Wonder if the school was ever upgraded. Teachers are not too bad compared to the rest. School bus schedule is made for the convenience of sharing buses between schools, so they are very early for such small kids. All other school kids have to start an hour later. This does affect kids health esp during those brutal winter days. Kids don't get enough rest. Not enough time allowed for lunch or rest. Apparently, kids have chores built in the daily school routine too. Most importantly, school leadership and administration needs a big overhaul. All parents have a similar feedback and yet no change happens. I guess there is no recourse, since this is a dictatorship.

We have been very happy with the services, staff (including front office) and education our son has received here. Please do not be deterred by the negative reviews!!! This an A+++ school (both campuses!) So far all of the teachers my son's had have been amazing, and this is his 4th year there. The administration and support staff will go out of their way to help your child if services are needed and you reach out to them. I do have to agree that the ethnic make-up of the school is not as diverse as some of the other schools in our district. This is not a flaw of the school, but something the school district as a whole may need to re-think in terms of redistricting. I do agree that it appears as if some classes have a better ethic mix than others, but that could be due to scheduling issues regarding special services students are receiving (who tend to be grouped together based on scheduling). My son has been able to make friends and find his niche socially regardless. The negative reviews are unfair & misleading. I was truthfully shocked upon reading some of them! If you take the time to get involved by volunteering just a little of your time, you will quickly see that I'm right.
