Horrible. We are glad that we removed our child and he is now in a private school. I resent having to pay tuition for my child to attend school when I have a public school right in my town that my taxes pay for. But, I could no longer subject my child to this toxic environment. TOXIC!!!! My son is a great student. Never misses homework. Driven. Mostly "A" Student. He was under stress going to Sayreville Middle School. There are so many behavioral problems there. The administration and some of the teachers conduct that school like a prison. It's so sad to me. Police presence in schools. It's just not a place you would want for your children. It is not a warm and encouraging environment at all. Thankfully, they just got rid of the last principal who was ineffective. My child said he never saw her in school. Students should see their leader in school every day. They should feel connected to their principal. She had such a poor attitude. The administration has little respect for parents and far less for students. My son is in a new school and he is behind in math but quickly catching up. He said the math is so much harder in his new school but he's grateful to be challenged. His new math teacher is phenomenal. The academics are more rigorous in his new school. I wish I never allowed my child to go to Sayreville Middle School. Just look at the numbers. The kids aren't proficient on state tests. This school could be great. But, they need a fresh mindset. They have such an archaic way of doing things. Stop punishing kids for breathing. Be a motivator, not a tyrant. Stop with the discipline reports for the most minor infractions! How about connecting with your students. Show some love. Care about these young people! Some of these kids are having problems at home or in their famil life. A teacher and an administrator could be the difference. I wish adults were more mindful of the impact they have on children. There are good teachers at Sayreville Middle School. I commend them. But, some are just horrible. Mean. Bitter. Some just don't care. The toxic enviroment starts at the top. These kids need more social events in school. More clubs. The need to be encouraged, motivated and inspired. They need to be redirected with love instead of always being punished and ridiculed. I wish the superintendent was progressive. He isn't. Go elsewhere if you can.

Horrible office staff, very rude, umwilling to help. un responsive. worst school ever. no wonder it has such a low rating.
Horribly bad staff very rude, very unwilling to help new students from a different state and that don't know English. They don't have a good program that's helps kids very well. Teachers are very rude too. Very disappointed it took 2weeks to get my child in school here and they were so rude even to my child.
